1. The buyer accepts the responsibility of caring for this kitten and providing properly for its welfare. The buyer agrees to follow the breeder's instructions on care, housing, diet, treatment and health.
2. The buyer agrees that this kitten will always receive prompt, top-notch medical care, and will never be allowed to harbor parasites.
3. The buyer agrees to provide companionship for this kitten, never leaving it alone for long periods of time without human attention. The buyer agrees to provide a generous amount of exercise for this kitten, to provide it with toys, and not to cage it. The buyer agrees never to allow this kitten outdoors unless leashed and accompanied by a responsible person to supervise its freedom for its health and safety.
4. The buyer agrees that this kitten will never be sold, leased or given to any pet shop, animal shelter, research laboratory or similar facility.
5. If sold as a pet the buyer agrees never to breed this kitten, and to have it altered prior to reaching 10 months of age. We recommend altering between 6-8 months of age. A certificate of spaying signed by your vet is required. Once we receive the certificate we will send buyer the kittens registration papers.
6. The buyer agrees never to declaw this kitten, and understands that declawing is a mutilation and a cruelty that is likely to alter the kitten's temperament and health.
7. The buyer agrees if any of the above terms are disregarded, that the breeder may reclaim this kitten without a refund of the purchase price. The buyer further agrees that if items 5 and/or 6 are disregarded, that the buyer must pay an additional $200.00 in damages to the breeder, that any offspring of this kitten are to be delivered to the breeder as the breeder's sole property, and that the breeder may also reclaim this kitten without refund. The buyer agrees to pay all court costs if this contract is litigated.
8. The Buyer has 5 business days to have this kitten tested for the Felv/FIV viruses. The breeder guarantees that the breeder's cattery is FeLV/FIV negative, that this kitten is presently free of disease, and that this kitten will be accepted for a full refund of purchase price if returned within 5 days with a veterinarian's certificate that this kitten has a health problem. The breeder warrants that this kitten is genetically sound, and will replace this kitten with another at no additional cost if this kitten ever dies of a genetic defect and that said defect is evidenced in an autopsy report presented to the breeder.
9. The breeder reserves the right of first refusal of this kitten from the buyer. If the buyer can not keep this kitten/cat for any reason, the breeder must be notified.
